PORCUPINE DB did a full design + build for this 2600 sqft loft space just off Commercial Drive in Vancouver. The mandate was to create a multi purpose space for a commercial and art photographer. As a gallery, the walls, with the exception of the long one, are removable between exhibitions and the space becomes a working studio. PORCUPINE DB created a series of spaces throughout including a shooting area, office, production + printing area, full kitchen, bathroom with shower, storage and a darkroom for "wet plate" work. Custom work includes aluminum + perspex sliding screens. The original floor was cleaned and clearcoated.
